Packaging

Yes, HR® Lubricating Jelly has recently made a packaging update to better communicate our product features to our customers. The updated packaging features  “Sterile, Water Soluble, Bacteriostatic, CHG-Free.”

It is important to emphasize that the product has not changed. We still use the same formulation developed in the 1930s that our customers have grown to know and trust.

HR® Lubricating Jelly has a shelf-life of 5 years from the date of manufacture across all packaging options.

For single-use packets, the lot and expiration date can be found on the back of the packet. For multi-use tubes, you can find the lot and expiration date on the crimp of the tube.

HR® Lubricating Jelly has a wide offering of procedure specific, single-use packaging, and tubes. Our product line-up helps eliminates multiple SKU’s for lubricant in the hospital and distribution supply chain.

HR® Lubricating Jelly is available in 2 and 4 oz flip-top tubes, 3g, 5g, and 36g single use packets, as well as a 10ml pre-filled syringe.

Yes, HR® Lubricating Jelly utilizes two (2) bacteriostatic components: Methyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben.

Yes. HR® Lubricating Jelly, and its packaging, are not made with natural rubber latex. For more information, please review our Instructions for Use.

Normal flora causes no harm to their host; in fact, it serves a vital function as a protective barrier that aids in the prevention of infection and colonization of pathogenic microbes on the body.

HR® Lubricating Jelly has been tested for sensitization, irritation and cytotoxicity, and conforms to the requirements outlined in ISO 10993-5 for cytotoxicity, and conforms to the requirements outlined in ISO 10993-10 for irritation and sensitization. 

HR® Lubricating Jelly 2X is a more viscous lubricant with a thicker consistency than the original HR® Lubricating Jelly formula. Our 2X formula is preferred by endoscopy physicians.
